26TH WARD WASTEWATER TREATMENT RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

SKANSKA-PICONE enlisted the services of JOADEM Corporation to provide essential QC Special Inspections and Materials testing. The scope of work included the installation of several thousands of piles, necessitating thorough inspections and testing to ensure their structural integrity. Additionally, grout testing and sampling was carried out to guarantee the quality and effectiveness of the grout used in the project.

Another crucial aspect involved the installation of an 82″ waste pipe for the bypass system, a vital component for maintaining continuous wastewater flow during construction. The installation process was carefully monitored and inspected to ensure its proper functioning.

Furthermore, the project included the rehabilitation of five existing sludge tanks. The rehabilitation work involved extensive inspections and testing to assess the condition of the tanks, as well as implementing necessary repairs or improvements to ensure their optimal performance.

In addition to these tasks, the project entailed the construction of several maintenance holes, setting tanks, and underground utilities. Each step of these installations was subject to rigorous inspections to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards.

To ensure safety and structural integrity, shop inspections of the rails and testing of railings atop the tanks were conducted. These inspections encompassed a thorough examination of the rail system and its components to confirm their quality and reliability.

Through the provision of QC Special Inspections and Materials testing services, JOADEM played a critical role in ensuring the successful and safe execution of the important wastewater treatment plant project.
