The Bay Park Conveyance Project is a partnership between the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and the Nassau County Department of Public Works (NCDPW). This project is focused on improving the water quality and storm resiliency in Long Island’s Western Bays by upgrading its existing wastewater management infrastructure.

The rehabilitation of the Jones Beach East Bathhouse was designed to address climate change, particularly flooding and inundation. In addition, the facility will be switched from fossil fuels to all-electric, building systems controls, and on-site photovoltaics, reducing the facility’s carbon footprint.
The scope of work includes the abatement and demolition of non-historic patio and picnic areas, rehabilitation of the historic main bathhouse and installation of a zero-entry pool for swim instruction. Abayomi has been performing grout testing and pile inspection for this project.

This project required the inspection of approximately 40 building façades to be conducted and witnessed by or under direct supervision of a N.Y. State licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) on behalf of the Division of School Facilities. Inspection includes all façade, parapet walls, railings and guard railings, fire escapes window, mounted air conditioners, etc.
