MNR 3RD AVENUE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

This project involved the demolition and reconstruction of the bridge structures of the 3rd Avenue bridge between 1st street and Fiske Place in Mount Vernon. New street utilities installed include 12” gas mains, 6 conduit electric duct banks, storm and sewer pipe connections, catch basins, traffic controls and street lighting.

JOADEM Corporation was contracted by WSP to perform special inspections and material testing in relation to the bridge abutment modifications, new bridge superstructure construction, and the full roadway reconstruction at the north and south side approaches with associated ADA compliant sidewalks, curbs and pedestrian ramps.

Through the provision of QC Special Inspections and Materials testing services, JOADEM played a critical role in ensuring the successful and safe execution of the important MNR 3rd Avenue Bridge Replacement project.
