NYCT BEDFORD PARK BOULEVARD STATION ADA UPGRADE PROJECT

The purpose of this project is to reconstruct and renovate the existing station to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The primary focus is on installing necessary infrastructure to provide ADA accessibility throughout the station.

In order to maintain quality standards throughout the project, Bureau Veritas has engaged JOADEM Corporation to provide Quality Control (QC) Materials Testing Services specifically for all concrete used at this location. This ensures that the concrete meets the necessary standards for structural integrity and durability, ensuring the long-term reliability of the renovated station.

Overall, this project aims to transform the existing station into an ADA-compliant facility, improving accessibility and inclusivity for all passengers. By incorporating new elevators, metal treads, handrails, detection rails, running boards, signage, curbs, and sidewalks, the renovated station will provide a safe and convenient transportation experience for individuals with disabilities.
